my story
Broadcast Journey
I started my career in my hometown of Barnesville, GA with Gordon State College. I was given the opportunity late in my freshman year to begin broadcasting games for the college -- something I had never done before. So I started carrying the equipment, setting it up, and live-streaming all sports for the Highlanders. From the second I finished my first softball game, I knew that sports media was my calling. After graduation from Gordon State in the Spring of 2023 I transferred to Piedmont University where my talent has only grown. I was the top play-by-play caller for the school's athletics and was honored enough to place second in the College Media Awards for best podcast (Against All Odds Against All Comers). My end goal is to find myself in the booth of a professional sports team continuing to create magic on the mic.

On a personal note

Growing up both of my parents were great communicators. They worked in public safety and eventually both were dispatchers. My dad was a firefighter but beyond that a voice of reason, music lover, and a Braves fan. Being his son I gravitated towards the Braves and baseball and it became apart of me and it was one of the things that truly pulled us together. My dad for 18 years had been fighting chronic diseases and in the winter of 2019 he unfortunately lost his battle with them. In the wake of his passing one thing my mom and I rallied around was baseball. With the Braves going far in the now infamous 2020 playoffs, only to break our hearts again, it made me even hungrier for the game and sports. So I surrounded myself with them and coincidentally in the Spring of 2021, I was given the opportunity to do just that. My dad's love for the game has grown into my passion for all sports and the work that goes into telling their stories.
The passion
It's hard to put passion into words. Ever since I was a kid however I have also wanted to entertain. Whether that be trying to crack a poorly timed joke to being on stage and giving joy to people. The stage however, didn't call my name. And in 2021 I found my niche. Something about telling a story through sports and getting to participate to heighten those magic moments is a high. Allowing my mind to wander and spin a phrase that will mark that moment is something I hold with reverence. Again it's hard to put passion into words but I can certainly try.
